DeviceLock, Inc., an international leader in endpoint data leak prevention (DLP) software, today announced that its DeviceLock Endpoint DLP Suite has successfully renewed its verification as Citrix Ready®. The Citrix Ready program helps customers identify third-party solutions that are recommended to enhance virtualization, networking and cloud computing solutions from Citrix Systems, Inc.

DeviceLock Endpoint DLP Suite completed a rigorous verification process to ensure compatibility with the latest version of Citrix XenApp® and XenDesktop® products unified under the FlexCast® Management Architecture to ensure joint solution compatibility.

Citrix users can be confident that DeviceLock DLP is trusted to provide data leak prevention for virtual endpoints and applications in Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop environments. These environments implement various types of “Bring Your Own Device” (BYOD) initiatives for securing employee access to corporate applications and data while utilizing any kind of remote personal computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone device connected via Citrix Receiver.

“Since its first Citrix Ready verification mark was obtained by DeviceLock DLP in 2012, our company has developed a successful history of providing Citrix customers the same effective data leak prevention for their virtual endpoints that DeviceLock Endpoint DLP Suite has long provided to physical desktops,” said Ashot Oganesyan, DeviceLock CTO and Founder. “This is why we are delighted to renew the Citrix Ready verification and once again demonstrate our long-term commitment to deliver the best endpoint DLP solution to our customers at the virtualized desktop (VDI/DaaS) and application levels.”

DeviceLock’s Virtual DLP features extend the reach of DeviceLock data leak prevention capabilities to a variety of virtual computing solutions. These include shared application sessions, hosted shared and VDI desktops, streamed desktops (Desktop as a Service-DaaS), as well as local virtual machines on hypervisors.

Virtual DLP enforces flexible contextual controls over data flows between server-hosted shared application and desktop sessions and redirected peripheral devices, ports and the clipboard of remote terminals and BYOD devices. In addition, strict content-aware controls can be applied to the shared redirected clipboard operations while the context and content of network communications from within the user session are also monitored and filtered by DeviceLock DLP mechanisms. As a result, data transfers from the virtual corporate environment on the employee’s personal device remain under strict corporate control, as are data exchanges between this business workspace and the native OS, applications and peripherals on the device.

“With regard to the completeness and quality of data leak prevention for Citrix-based virtualized environments,” emphasized Oganesyan, “DeviceLock DLP differentiates in that it protects not only endpoints in all FlexCast desktop virtualization models but also multi-user XenApp application sessions with individual DLP policies independently enforced for every user in a session.”

The DeviceLock Endpoint DLP solution addresses the needs of organizations that require a simple and affordable approach to preventing data leaks from corporate Windows and Mac laptops, desktop computers and virtualized Windows desktops and applications. DeviceLock DLP implements and effectively coordinates a full-featured set of contextual and content-aware controls over data-in-use, data-in-motion and data-at-rest that is designed specifically for preventing information leaks from endpoints without interrupting normal business processes. The DeviceLock DLP solution is designed to effortlessly scale from small to large installations and simplify DLP deployment and management such that it can usually be performed by in-house Windows administrators using the Microsoft Active Directory’s Group Policy Management Console or DeviceLock’s companion consoles. The complete package delivers an unprecedented level of functionality among endpoint DLP solutions in an easily affordable price range.
